You may be entitled to financial compensation if your flight was delayed by more than three hours.

 Compensation for Canceled Flight

When does a canceled flight qualify for compensation?

If the canceled flight was notified at least 14 days before departure, you are not entitled to compensation.

You may be entitled to compensation if the airline informs you of the cancellation less than 14 days before departure and you arrive at your final destination more than 4 hours later than expected.

Or, if the airline informs you of the cancellation less than 7 days before departure and you arrive at your final destination more than 2 hours later than the scheduled arrival time.

 Compensation for New Flight

Have you been rebooked on a new flight?

When an airline cancels a flight, the airline must offer you the choice between a full refund of the ticket or rebooking to a new flight as soon as possible. If you accepted a rebooking to a new flight, you may still be entitled to compensation if the delay is sufficiently long.

Compensation for Missed Connecting Flight

If you missed your connecting flight during a layover because the incoming flight was delayed or canceled, you may be entitled to compensation under the following conditions:

 Because you missed your connecting flight, your flight was delayed by at least 3 hours upon arrival at your final destination. försenat vid ankomsten till din slutdestination.  

At least one of your flights departed from an airport in an EU member country or was operated by an airline from an EU member country.

Your journey was booked under a single booking reference for the entire route.

 Reimbursement of Extra Expenses

You have the right to compensation for costs related to your flight delay. If you incurred expenses for food, drinks, or overnight hotel stays, transport to and from the hotel in connection with a flight delay, or needed to buy a new flight ticket, you have the right to have these expenses reimbursed.

 If your flight is delayed by more than five hours, you have the right to a full or partial refund of the flight ticket.

Which Flights Are Covered by EU Regulation 261/04

All flights within the EU are covered by the EU regulation, but many other countries with connections to Europe are also covered.

Many international flights are also covered, but only if they depart from an EU airport. If your journey started at an airport outside the EU but the final destination was an EU airport, you may be entitled to compensation if the airline is based in Europe. 

 No Fee to Initiate a Case

The company's legal services are free of charge to the client in cases where the company does not succeed in enforcing the compensation claim under the principle of no win, no fee. If the company succeeds in enforcing a compensation claim, a reasonable fee will be charged as follows.

  Fee

A fee of 30% of the compensation received and payment from the airline applies for the service, according to the passenger rights regulation, applicable legislation, or through settlement.

If the case needs to be pursued through a court process to obtain compensation from the airline, a 15% surcharge on the compensation and payment from the airline will be charged, as mentioned above.
